Each book club meets once a month on a regular day and time, September through June. 15 copies of each title are available on a first-come-first-served basis. The selection of the books is done by the librarians who facilitate the book club meetings. The selections vary by theme and region, reflecting popular titles as well as lesser known books.
The hope is that the selections will be diverse and provoke good discussion. The books are added to the Library's book club collection at the end of the year.
The Library also has a Book Club Collection. The books in this collection are available for borrowing as a set or individually, we usually have 10 or more copies of a title. In most cases as these books have been discussed by the Library's book discussion groups, notes are also available. Holds are also permitted on multiple copies.
