Join the Red Cedar Book Club and choose who wins British Columbia’s Red Cedar Book Award! The Club meets twice a month to discuss the nominated titles, conduct experiments, write reviews and more, and then votes for their favourite books in the spring. Get together with fellow food-enthusiasts and put a cookbook to the test! Every month we’ll select a new cookbook from the NVDPL collection and you pick recipes you’d like to try out.  At the meeting, you’ll share your experience with the recipe!

Learn about the historical and cultural background of traditional Hawaiian, Tahitian, Maori dance, then learn to do the dances themselves, all to the rhythm of the South Seas. You’ll be encouraged to try out some implements to accompany the music, all with the assistance of experienced dancers and musicians. For all ages from 4 to 99— you may surprise yourselves.
