Welcome to our Call Booth Hub!
Lynn Valley Library has two call booths on the 2nd floor. This is a quiet space for taking calls and attending virtual meetings or interviews. Each booth fits a single user and is equipped with a seat, a height-adjustable table, lighting and a fan for air circulation.
You can book a 1-hour session in a Call Booth (up to 2 hours per day) and up to 7 days in advance. Users must have an NVDPL library card to reserve a time. Don’t have one? Get a card on your next visit.
NOTE: Booking system does not work on mobile devices. Speak with staff if you do not have a laptop or desktop.
Call Booth FAQs
Why does NVDPL provide call booths?
Many patrons have cell phones and need to take or make calls, and we also have patrons looking to attend meetings or interviews via video conference on their laptops. These activities can require more privacy, and the increased noise can be disruptive to others using the library.
If you know you’ll need to take a call or videoconference while at the library, please book a Call Booth!
If you require a space for silent study or using your device, please use other tables in the library or the Silent Study Room.
How long can I use a call booth? Can I reserve in advance?
The call booths can be reserved for up to 2 hours per day in one-hour sessions. You can book 2 consecutive hours in advance. You can book up to 7 days in advance.
