About MLA Chant: 
Susie Chant is the MLA for North Vancouver-Seymour. Susie was born and raised on the North Shore. She is a Registered Nurse, and before being elected as an MLA, Susie was a Team Lead with Vancouver Coastal Health.
Susie served in the Canadian Naval Reserves, led Girl Guides and running workshops, and has a long history of community involvement in North Vancouver.

Nature and Biodiversity in the District

Join the District of North Vancouver for an event dedicated to celebrating nature in our community!

Come and hear from a group of speakers that are accomplishing amazing environmental work on the North Shore and learn about how their projects work towards protecting and enhancing biodiversity locally. Light refreshments will be served. Participants are encouraged a come a bit early.

The District is also excited to introduce our plans for our new upcoming Biodiversity Strategy. This event will be a fun evening filled with engaging conversations with our panelists and interactive activities.  We hope to see you there!

Everyone welcome! Join us for refreshment, information sessions, and discussion on a variety of topics.

Have you felt the passion to create digital art, tell stories, or save beloved memories from long ago, but lacked the money or resources? Your local library is here to help! The NVDPL StoryLab offers access to spaces and equipment for you to digitize old forms of media, as well as see your digital creations come to life. Produce films, podcasts, music, and more! Free of charge. 

Join us on a tour to see our newly running 3D printers create physical objects right in front of your eyes. Artistic trinkets, mini-figures, accessibility tools, the skies the limit! We look forward to seeing what you will learn, create, and share with us at StoryLab.

MOOC: The Story of Mathematics

Join us for this massive online open course (MOOC) about the Story of Mathematics.

From economics to algorithms, it is impossible to think of a part of our world that isn’t influenced by mathematics.  But what is the human history behind the numbers? From Plato to Pythagoras, Descartes to Newton, Oxford University Professor, Marcus du Sautoy, investigates the great minds that have used mathematics to bring pattern and order to our chaotic world.This 4-part series examines key mathematical ideas and their influence on today's science, technology, and culture.
