Author Presentation: Caroline Adderson

Caroline Adderson is an award-winning author of more than twenty books for children of all ages.
 
As well as accumulating many stars, she has won the Diamond Willow Award, the Helen Isobel Sissons Canadian Children's Story Award, the Sheila Egoff Award, and the Chocolate Lily Book Award. Four of her titles have been Junior Library Guild selections. Caroline’s nominations include the Ruth and Sylvia Schwartz Children’s Book Award, Canadian Library Association's Children's Book of the Year, the Christie Harris Illustrated Children’s Literature Prize, and numerous Reader’s Choice Awards -- the Red Cedar Award, the Hackmatack Children’s Choice Book Award, and the Rocky Mountain Book Award among them. International honours include a White Raven and a USBBY Outstanding International Book selection. Caroline lives in Vancouver, B.C., with her husband and her bad dog Arlo.
 
Sunny Days Inside and Other Stories
How do you survive a lock-down? The kids and families in apartments 4A to 3D learn that pandemic living is a mental as well as physical challenge as they see their community, their family, and themselves trying to cope with Covid. Join author Caroline Adderson to discuss her Red Cedar Award Nominated short story collection, where characters and storylines are woven together as each learn new ways of connecting, sharing, and inspiring themselves and others during those unprecedented times. 
 
Geared to children in grades 5-7.
