Becoming a Citizen Scientist with B.C. Parks Foundation

B.C. has some of the richest diversity of life on earth. From spirit bears to soaring eagles, from lichen to lilies, thousands of species call our supernatural province home. Do you ever go out for a walk and want to know more about the plants and animals around you? Join over 23,000 other British Columbians and become a citizen scientist – all you need is a camera! The BC Parks Foundation invites you to come and learn more about how you can support management, conservation, science and research across B.C. AND become more familiar with your local species are by becoming a citizen scientist.

 

Emma Griggs, Wildlife Forever Program Manager: Emma holds a BSc in Natural Resource Conservation from UBC, including study terms in Australia and Namibia. In 2019, Emma’s love for BC’s wild spaces led her to the BC Parks Foundation, where she has worked with the rest of the team to enhance and sustain our parks while connecting people to them. 

What you’ll need to attend: a computer with microphone (or headphones) and webcam, or your smartphone/tablet.
