For the Birds: Raptors and OWL

Join experts from the Orphaned Wildlife Rehabilitation Society as they discuss raptors, their characteristics, and their biggest existential dangers today.

Birds are an important part of our ecosystem. The pressures of climate change, territory encroachment, and human actions can put species under stress. A decline in bird populations can signal bigger changes to come. We rely on birds to pollinate plants, disperse seeds, control insects, and control rodents. Learn about local bird species, the threats facing them, and how we can be a more bird-friendly community.

OWL, The Orphaned Wildlife Rehabilitation Society,  is a non-profit organization whose staff and volunteers are dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of injured and orphaned raptors and to educating the public on their conservation and importance.
