Earthquake Preparedness: Before, During, and After

You are living in earthquake country. BC has the highest earthquake risk in Canada. Would you know what to do?

Mark the 10th anniversary of the Great BC Shakeout by joining North Shore Emergency Management for this online emergency preparedness presentation. Learn about the risks of living on BC’s south coast, and how you can prepare for them. We can’t predict when an earthquake will happen, but we can learn what steps to take to better protect ourselves and our families.

You can also join ShakeOut BC on Thursday, October 21 for the world’s largest earthquake drill by registering at shakeoutbc.ca/register. Participating in ShakeOut is a great way for your family or organization to learn how to prepare for earthquakes – wherever you live, work, or travel.

This meeting will take place on Zoom. What you’ll need: A computer with microphone (or headphones) and webcam for Zoom; or your smartphone/tablet.
