Food, Health, and Mental Wellness


Dr. Theresa Nicassio (author of YUM and host of The Dr. Theresa Nicassio Show) will address the anxieties that many of us have around food and how it relates to our health and mental wellness. Theresa will provide a fast-track overview of health and food challenges that should spark a lively Q&A session. 

As a formally trained raw food chef and educator, with a background in psychology, Theresa approaches food, health, and emotional well-being from a holistic perspective.  

A Registered Psychologist in Vancouver Canada, Dr. Theresa Nicassio is a holistic therapist, author, and international media personality.  Her garden-to-table book YUM: Plant-Based Recipes for a Gluten-Free Diet (2015 Best Diet Book in Canada & 2016 Best in the World Winner - Gourmand International) brought Theresa’s compassionate work and integrative knowledge far beyond the 4 walls of her consulting room, inspiring positivity, creativity and inclusivity through her messages of hope, health and empowerment. She is also the Host of The Dr. Theresa Nicassio Show on Healthy Life Radio and is the creator of Theresa’s Wellness Hub, a free wellness resource for the general public (TheresaNicassio.com).
