Karin was elected MLA for West Vancouver-Capilano in 2020. She has been CEO of a provincial crown corporation, a large social services organization, and the Real Estate Foundation of BC.  She was Assistant Dean in the UBC Sauder School of Business and acted as a Director of the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade. Karin is a Chartered Professional Accountant (FCPA), has both a Master of Laws (LLM) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA). Karin is the Official Opposition Critic for the Ministry of Education and Childcare, as well as Ministry of Children and Families. She is Deputy Chair of the Provincial Finance Committee and sits on the Select Standing Committee for Children and Youth.
