Join us for a friendly gathering to celebrate poems that move us.
We’re co-curating a collection of poetry that moves us! Participants will each bring 14 printed copies of one or two poems to the session, read it aloud to the group, and invite discussion! Background information about the poet or his/her work is certainly welcome, but is not mandatory. At the end of the night, each member will take home the collection of poems discussed as a group! These sessions will be moderated by community members Kathryn Allison and Oleh Ilnyckyj.
Participants should bring 14 copies of one or two poems they wish to discuss. Please register!
About Kathy and Oleh:
A former film journalist, playwright, and North Vancouver School District teacher, Kathyhas led a monthly poetry sharing group for three years. Oleh is long time Edgemont resident, avid Capilano Library user and lawyer. He is a member of two book clubs that also read and discuss poems.
