Come join our regular SFU Philosophers’ Café host Reema Faris for a discussion on topical social issues.

  • September 21: COVID-19 Surfing: Six months since the initial pandemic shutdowns. What does your new reality look like and are you prepared for the next wave?
     
  • October 5: Gratitude: Thanksgiving in Canada is around the corner. What are you grateful for and what’s one thing you would change to make the world a better place?
     
  • October 19: Happiness Rules! Or does it? What does happiness mean to you?
     
  • November 2: Uncle Sam Wants Citizens to Vote! What are your predictions about the election in the United States and how do you feel about the possible outcomes?
     
  • November 16: They count ballots, don’t they? How do you feel about the US election results and where does the world go from here?
     
  • November 30: Where is your horizon set? What are your worries, concerns, hopes, dreams and aspirations as this most perplexing and troubling year starts to wind down?
