Come join our regular SFU Philosophers’ Café host Reema Faris for a discussion on topical social issues

  • September 27: Welcome back! Given the challenges of the past year and a half, what are the key changes you anticipate seeing in our daily lives as we move through the pandemic to a new normal?
  • October 25: As we move into the month for Canadian Thanksgiving and given the traumatic revelations at residential schools in the late spring, what do you see as the next steps in the national process and search for reconciliation?
  • November 22: It was another blazing summer! As we move into winter, what steps do you think we need to take to contend with the continuing unfolding of our climate emergency?
  • December 20: ’Tis the season for merriment and celebration! In approaching 2022, what are the lessons you’ve learned this past year and what changes do you plan on implementing in the next one?
