2024 Children's Summer Reading Club: World of Curiosities/Monde de Curiosités
June 10–September 14

Get curious and explore your local public library with the BC Summer Reading Club (SRC)!

How it works:

  1. To get started, pick up your SRC reading record at any NVDPL branch starting on June 10.

  2. Read on your own, have someone read to you, or listen to audiobooks all summer long. Read what you like in any format: comics, chapter books, playaways…you name it!

  3. For each day that you read for 15 minutes or longer, colour or checkmark ONE glowing light in your reading record.

  4. Earn stickers for each week of reading. If you complete your reading record, you’ll earn a book prize and an invitation to our Celebration of Reading event at the end of the summer!

  5. If you’re away for part of the summer, come in when you can, and claim your stickers when you come to check out your books!

You can also participate online!

There is lots of time to finish! Have fun and make reading a regular part of your summer. When you’ve completed 50 days of reading you will get your prize and you can take part in the North Vancouver District Public Library’s Celebration of Reading at your local branch.

Don't forget to join us for digital and in-person programs and activities!

The BC Summer Reading Club is brought to you by the British Columbia Library Association, the province of BC’s Libraries Branch of the Ministry of Education, CUPE BC, the BC Libraries Coop, and our local Friends of the Library!
