QuaranTEEN Summer Art Contest

Calling all young artists! Your task is to create a piece of art this summer that has to do with your experience of quarantine.

It could be inspired by your daily life, your desk workspace, what you miss, what you’re spending time doing now, what you wish you were doing, your neighbourhood, places you wish you could go...

Contest Details

What mediums will you accept? Anything! Photographs, film, illustration, sculpture, fabric art, metalwork, edible art, paintings, drawings, digital art, etc.

Submitting Your Entry

  • If your project is 2-dimensional/can fit inside an envelope, please mail it to:

  • If your project is 3-dimensional and won’t fit into a conventional envelope:
    Take a picture (or several), and email it to Jessie Hawkes at hawkesj@nvdpl.ca with the email subject line “QuaranTEEN Art Contest.

Deadline: All submissions must be sent to the library (physically or electronically) by September 8, 2020. Only one entry per participant.

Who Can Enter? The art contest is open to all teens grades 7-12.

Prizes: Winners of the contest will be awarded a gift certificate, and all art will be displayed at a library reception in the fall. Submissions will be returned to the artists after the reception.
