Hoopla

A digital media service that allows you to borrow ebooks & e-comics (graphic novels) as well as e-audiobooks. You borrow Hoopla titles using a browser on your computer or with the Hoopla app for Apple or Android devices.

PressDisplay

Press Display provides instant online accesse to today's newspapers from around the world in full-colour, full-page format. The ever-expanding collection currently includes over 2,000 Canadian and international titles that you can browse through just like reading a print copy. Along with today's news, PressDisplay has past editions ranging from 30-90 days and a search feature.

Public Domain Ebooks

Internet Archive

A non-profit digital library with access to digitised collections of books, websites, audio, and moving images. It also provides specialised services for the blind and other persons with disabilities. Ebooks can be downloaded in a variety of formats, including EPUB, PDF and Kindle.

International Children's Digital Library

A collection of historical and contemporary children's books in over 50 languages. The site is designed specifically for children and is very easy to navigate. Titles may be read online only. There is an app available for use on iPhone and iPad.

Project Gutenberg

A collection of more than 45,000 free ebooks in English and other languages. Most of the items in this collection are the full texts of public domain (out of copyright) books. All ebooks can be easily downloaded in EPUB, HTML and simple text formats. A number of Project Gutenberg titles are also available to download via Library2Go through their Public Domain Collection.
