VICO Presents Music of the Whole World: Orchid Ensemble

Join us for a celebration of world music! The Vancouver Inter-Cultural Orchestra presents an ensemble of musicians who introduce audiences to different cultures through their experiences, discoveries, and travels. Come hear music featuring the Erhu, Cello & Percussion.

The Vancouver Inter-Cultural Orchestra’s mission is to act as a forum for the creation of a new musical art form that all of Canada’s resident cultures can take part. Through composition, performance and educational outreach, the VICO serves as a voice for Canadian composers and musicians of diverse backgrounds, and fosters the creation of musical works that fuse and transcend cultural traditions.

Join us for a performance and then stick around for a lecture to learn about their instruments!
