Library2Go/OverDrive recently changed the way it authenticates users to check for these requirements. Hoopla

A digital media service that allows you to borrow ebooks and e-comics (graphic novels) as well as e-audiobooks. You borrow Hoopla titles using a browser on your computer or with the Hoopla app for Apple or Android devices.

PressReader offers e-newspapers and e-magazines from around the world in dozens of languages. Includes today's Vancouver Sun, the Province, and the Globe and Mail.  (Globe and Mail available in-library only.) Along with today's news, PressDisplay has past editions for up to 90 days. Public Domain Ebooks

Internet Archive

A non-profit digital library with access to digitised collections of books, websites, audio, and moving images. It also provides specialised services for the blind and other persons with disabilities. Ebooks can be downloaded in a variety of formats, including EPUB, PDF, and Kindle.

International Children's Digital Library

A collection of historical and contemporary children's books in over 50 languages. The site is designed specifically for children and is very easy to navigate. Titles may be read online only. There is an app available for use on iPhone and iPad.

Project Gutenberg

A collection of more than 45,000 free ebooks in English and other languages. Most of the items in this collection are the full texts of public domain (out of copyright) books. All ebooks can be easily downloaded in EPUB, HTML and simple text formats. A number of Project Gutenberg titles are also available to download via Library2Go through their Public Domain Collection.
