Baby Social (0-18 months)

A drop in time for you and your baby to meet other families!

We’ll provide the space and toys for some free play fun.

We will have local community partners available to chat about their family programs.

A children's librarian will check in periodically to say hello and answer questions.


For 0 – 18-month-old babies and their caregivers. (Siblings welcome.)

Lunar New Year Craft & Watch

Celebrate the Year of the Dragon at the Capilano Library!

Participate in a simple, self-guided craft while watching virtual celebrations of Lunar New Year.

Good Morning Lunar Gateway

Join us for a hands-on, STEM-based activity with the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre!

In this workshop, participants will have the opportunity to craft their Ozobot rovers for whatever lunar mission they imagine. Participants will learn the basics of coding and robotics by creating routes for their Ozobot rovers with coding challenges.

This program is open to children aged 7-12. Parents are highly encouraged to attend with their child if they feel their child may benefit from extra support.
