Have you met Libby, the ebook app for OverDrive?

Take Libby with you wherever you go and you’ll never be without free access to ebooks and audiobooks. With Libby, you can find, checkout, and download content from British Columbia’s Library2Go collection. Join us to learn how Libby differs from the previous OverDrive app. (Hint: It’s much easier to use!)

Bring your tablet or mobile device to follow along and get started. Note that this session is for ebooks on tablets and mobile devices only. There may be a separate session discussing ebooks for dedicated e-readers (i.e., Kobos).

Whether you want to learn how to read library ebooks and e-audiobooks using Libby, read e-magazines using RBdigital, or learn a new language using Mango, this session will help you familiarize yourself with all these applications and more!

Note: these are not in-depth instructional sessions for each app, but rather an overview of  e-resources available at NVDPL. Some specific instructional programs are offered. Check the Events Calendar or the‘Get Started’ pages on our website for more information!

Join local Cono Spitale for a talk about the changing ways people in the 21st century are getting their news in addition to the mainstream media of television, radio and newspapers.

Cono Spitale is a long-time North Vancouver resident who is a volunteer at Gleneagles Golf Club in West Vancouver. Cono has entertained the residents at Parkgate Community Centre with his singing and guitar playing. Cono also served as the editor of the Kerrisdale Village News internet community newspaper from 2011-14.
