Walking in Good Relations

Walking in Good Relations: Learning about Reconciliation through Board Games

Walking in Good Relations, a Sínulkhay & Ladders game for unlearning anti-Indigenous racism, is a re-written, re-focused, completely new version of Ta7talíya Michelle Nahanee’s award-winning giant decolonial board game. The game gives opportunities to relearn how you relate to Host Nations, local languages and histories. The game also shares ways to take better care of yourself and each other throughout the journey.

Come to Capilano library to try out this game and engage in a relaxed, but meaningful, conversation about reconciliation and decolonialism.  Our librarian will help guide you through game play.

This program is best for people 10 and up, as it involves talking about complex issues and some distressing topics such as Residential Schools.

Learn more about the creator of this game and other projects of hers here: https://nahaneecreative.com
