MOOC: Introduction to Classical Music

Join us for this Massive Online Open Course (MOOC), where we will investigate not only how we hear music, but why it induces such strong emotions in us.

Exploring the music of the Middle Ages, Renaissance and Baroque period, we will learn why the focus shifted away from performers to the composers themselves.  Listen to the music of Bach, Mozart, Wagner and Puccini while learning about culture, chords and cadence.

This meeting will take place in the Enid Dearing Room at Parkgate Library, with an option to join virtually via Zoom.
