Afternoon Tea Book Club: "The Plot"

Settle in with a cuppa home brew and chat with other book folk!

All are welcome to the Afternoon Tea Book Club. Whether you are well-seasoned in book clubs or have never been in one, we invite you to participate. Drop-in, registration not required.

This month we’re reading The Plot by Jean Hanff Korelitz.

Jacob Finch Bonner, the hapless protagonist of this ingeniously twisty novel from Korelitz (The Devil and Webster), teaches creative writing in a low-residency MFA program at Ripley College in Vermont. Since his first novel came out to critical acclaim years before, Jake has published virtually nothing. The Plot is a propulsive read about a story too good not to steal, and the writer who steals it.

Pick up the book at the library and join us for a good discussion at Cates Park. If you need help locating a copy of the book, call your local branch.

No registration required. Call 604-929-3727, ext. 8166 for more information.

This month, we're meeting at Cates Park/Whey-ah-Wichen (4141 Dollarton Hwy) at the covered shelter by the boat launch/jetty.

Bring a mug of hot or cold tea and a lawn chair if you’d like really comfortable seating!
