Coding Camp for Kids: Python 200

Best for: Grades 4/5 – Grade 8
Prerequisite: Python 100 or previous Python experience highly recommended

Finished Python 100? Great! Continue to develop your coding skills with this volunteer-run coding camp!

This course is the continuation of the Python 100 course, and students will be dividing deeper into coding algorithms. We will be exploring concepts that are commonly seen on USACO Bronze contests, and CCC Junior contests. Students will be prepared for these contests after taking this course. It is highly recommended that students have a strong grasp of the Python syntax before attempting this course.

At the end of this course, students will be presenting a former USACO problem to their parents, and discussing the solution. Students will present what they have learned over the weeks and will present one “core” coding concept with real world applications of that concept.

Registration required. Questions? Contact Kaley at youngk@nvdpl.ca.
