Genealogy Series: Introduction to the British Columbia Genealogical Society

Interested in researching your family history? Perhaps you heard about a local North Shore family’s astounding discovery about their history and are interested in digging into your own family’s past.

Join the British Columbia Genealogical Society for a special three-part series at the library! Come learn about the current resources & techniques to explore your ancestry.

Our series covers the following topics:

May 3rd: Introduction to the British Columbia Genealogical Society.  We’ll talk about our library, classes, and genealogy in general.  Maybe this session would be a good place to talk about ‘genealogical discoveries’.

May 10th: We’ll talk about pedigree charts, family group sheets, keep research logs, correspondence and other research ideas.

May 17th: We’ll talk about “The Big 4” genealogy sites – subscription and free sites.

See all events in this series.

You can register for one, two, or all of the workshops!

Please note that this session will take place over Zoom. You will need a microphone and speakers, or a headset, in order to take part in the session.
