LGBTQ+ Awareness for Parents

Come find out why LGBTQ+ conversations matter for everyone, especially parents.

1 in 5 students in British Columbia identify as not exclusively heterosexual. If that’s not your kids, it’s your kid’s friends...or your friend’s kids! Isolation is difficult for anyone, but LGBTQ+ kids face this at home, at school, and in our community. Interested parents are invited to join Michele and Caroline, LGBTQ+ identified parents, for an open discussion on building communities and homes that welcome diversity, and discover how compassion and connection benefit every child and every parent.

Caroline Wedderspoon is a Registered Clinical Counsellor on the North Shore, specializing in working with the LGBTQ+ community, and is also the parent of 4 children. Michele Fogal is a Communications Consultant specializing in diversity, a mother of 2, and a published queer author. You can find out more about their diversity work at DivineDiversity.com.
