Since 2020, Marcie Callewaert and her husband, Skookum, have lived off the grid in a tiny 480 square foot cabin in Clayoquot Sound.
Daily life includes splitting firewood, gardening, preserving food, and tending to the chickens and rabbits. Their home is located on the traditional territory of Skookum’s father, and they harvest and preserve traditional foods and herbs to supplement their diet.
Marcie will give us a fascinating insider’s view into what life is really like ‘off the grid’.
