Mere Mortals: The Role of an End of Life Doula

Mere Mortals is back with more inspiring and engaging speakers. Learn how a heart-centred focus opens our minds to think, talk, and act about the end of life.

When you are facing the end of your life, what do you wish for? Whatever your wishes, an End of Life (Death) Doula can help. In this presentation you will learn what a Death Doula is, and how they support patients, caregivers, and/or family members on their end of life journeys. Whether you are healthy and simply creating your end of life plans; or you have a chronic or terminal illness and are facing end of life, a Death Doula can help. Death Doula & EOL Educator, Karen Hendrickson will share some of her personal experiences in supporting families facing end of life with a loved one, discovering what matters most, and how she helps them navigate some of the deep emotions to support a good death.

Karen Hendrickson is a Coach in Life, Death and all the messy in-between.

Please note that this session will take place over Zoom. You will need a microphone and speakers, or a headset, in order to take part in the session.
