MOOC: The Story of Mathematics

Join us for this massive online open course (MOOC) about the Story of Mathematics.

From economics to algorithms, it is impossible to think of a part of our world that isn’t influenced by mathematics.  But what is the human history behind the numbers? From Plato to Pythagoras, Descartes to Newton, Oxford University Professor, Marcus du Sautoy, investigates the great minds that have used mathematics to bring pattern and order to our chaotic world. This 4-part series examines key mathematical ideas and their influence on today's science, technology, and culture.

This meeting will take place in the Enid Dearing Room at Parkgate Library, with an option to join virtually via Zoom.
