Summer Reading Club

Take a deep dive into reading at NVDPL. 

Starting June 10, kids of all ages can DIVE IN any NVDPL to receive a brand new Imagine the Possibilities reading booklet. Each day that you read for 15 minutes or more, you get to record what you’ve read. After seven days of reading, you come back to the library and pick up some goodies. After 50 days of reading, you’ll be FINISHED and ready for a book prize. Summer Reading Club runs from June 10 to September 14 so there is lots of time to finish— the goal is to make reading a regular and FUN part of your summer!

TEENS WANTED: Become a Tech Tutor

Teens...we need you!

Tech tutors is one-to-one technology help for adults. Teen volunteers meet once a week with 3 or 4 adults  for individual ½ hour sessions. You don’t have to be a tech wizard, just willing to help walk through the steps of a variety of tech-related issues. 

We’re looking for Tech Tutor Volunteers who:

· Are in grades 10, 11, 12

· Are patient, supportive and willing engage and interact with adults and seniors

Reading can spark change. Discover the power of reading this summer!

There are 9 reading challenges to complete over the course of the summer. Every challenge you complete earns you a prize ballot for draws happening all summer long. For every 3  challenges you complete, you earn an automatic prize from the prize box! If you complete all 9 challenges, you win the grand prize: a free book of your choice!
