Writing Workshop for Teens: Character Development

Character Development

Between finding the perfect voice, writing natural-sounding dialogue, avoiding cliches, and building a compelling arc, creating realistic characters isn't easy!

Join local YA author Lianne Oelke at a one-hour workshop for examples, strategies, and exercises to help bring your characters to life. The workshop will last one hour, but if you're feeling inspired, stick around after for a writing period to work on your own projects and talk to Lianne.

Registration Required. Register online, call 604-984-0286 ext. 8144, or email tag@nvdpl.ca

Bio: Lianne loves writing about and for teenagers who make questionable decisions while trying to figure out their place in the world. When she's not writing or working in the film industry, Lianne loves to garden, race in triathlons (slowly, but it still counts!), and explore the trails around her North Vancouver home.
